OCN Level 2 Off-road Support Rider Training

Overview
This one-day course is aimed at professionals or volunteers who have a responsibility for taking people riding or off-road routes, such as health scheme leaders or GP-referral staff. The course will include:

  • bike and client safety considerations
  • risk assessment and emergency procedures
  • equipment
  • ride and scheme planning
  • group management
Content

Learning outcomes

1) Understand the benefits of cycling and barriers to cycling.
2) Be able to recognise and remedy common bike/cycling faults.
3) Know how to select and assess cycle routes.
4) Understand ride procedure and administration.
5) Know how to lead a group to ride off-road.

Costs

2 day course: £195 per delegate. Includes workbooks, OCN accreditation fee, certification.

Fast Track* 1 day course: £120 per delegate. Includes workbooks, OCN accreditation fee, certification.

Refreshments will be provided but delegates are advised to bring their own packed lunch.
